Personal Effects by Royal Air Force Personnel

I am directed to inform you that the Air Ministry has recently received authority, from H.M. Treasury, to proceed with the settlement of claims to compensation, in respect of furniture and personal effects lost as a result of enemy action, submitted by Royal Air Force personnel who were normally resident in the United Kingdom and were posted to the Far East in the public service.

Accordingly I am to ask that you will be good enough to forward to this Department all such claims, sub- mitted by Royal Air Force officers and airmen, together with confirmation that no payme t has bee, or will be, made by your Commission in these cases,

It will be appreciated if this matter can be treated as urgent.
